RESUMO:

Milk production has been increasing in Brazil and has a prominent position in the national economy. In the south of the state of Rio de Janeiro, the increasing density of animals is associated with an environmental liability of large proportions, mainly due to the effluents from cattle production, with a matrix with high concentrations of organic matter and nutrients. There are innumerable alternatives of processes through which the treatment of bovine waste can be carried out: physical, physical-chemical and biological; these processes can be used together and sequentially. This work proposes the study of an integrated process for the treatment of bovine wastewater (ARB) through a solid-liquid separation step, based on the use of a natural extract of tannins for the coagulation and flocculation of bovine subsequent filtration using organic filters made with PET bottles and consisting of wood sawdust and charcoal. For the treatment of the solid phase it is proposed the conduction and monitoring of the composting of the organic materials used as filter medium and those obtained in the phase separation of the coagulation / flocculation process. The experimental design will be a randomized block design, with four replications. The treatments will be arranged in a factorial scheme, where the factor T will evaluate the effect of the concentration of the tannin extract in three levels and the factor M will evaluate the effect of the wood and charcoal sawdust proportions of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus spp), produced in temperature maximum of 400ºC, in three levels. The evaluation of the efficiency of the treatment system will be done by monitoring the physicochemical parameters of the ARB before and after each treatment step. The analysis of the compost produced will be made in relation to the specific parameters required by the current regulations of the Ministry of Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA) for its use in agriculture.
