RESUMO:

Weeds are species that arise at undesirable times and places, competing with the crop of economic interest for resources such as water, light and nutrients. To control them, several methods have been developed and improved and among these is the chemical control with the application of herbicides. These products are effective in this action, but with their use in an improper way it has caused the increase of resistant biotypes, making it difficult to handle them. Thus, there is a growing need to rotate the different mechanisms of action of herbicides for the management of resistant weeds, whether monocots or dicotyledons. An exit to overcome this problem is the use of latifolicides and graminicides, applied in mixture or in succession. Among these are 2,4D and inhibitors of the acetyl coenzyme A carboxylase (ACCase), however, there may be problems with the use of both, occurring antagonistic action. It is suspected that 2,4D contributes to the action of cytochrome P450, which is an enzyme that acts on the metabolism of toxic molecules, among them, herbicides. In this way, the objective of this work is to investigate the role of CP450 in the antagonism of graminicides and 2,4D plants of Digitaria insularis. The experiment will be carried out in duplicate in a greenhouse located on the campus of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, Seropédica-RJ. Seeds of D. insularis susceptible in pots with a capacity of 1 L. will be used. Upon reaching the phenological stage of 2-3 tillers and flowering, the treatments will be applied which will be arranged in a randomized complete block design (DBC) in a factorial scheme (( 2x8 + 1) x4), factor A with or without inhibitor (malathion 1000 g ha-1), factor B corresponds to herbicides 2,4-D (670 g ia.ha-1), clethodim (108 g ia.ha-1) or haloxyfop (62.35 g ia.ha-1), applied singly, in admixture or sequentially at three, six and twelve day intervals. Additional treatment consisting of the mixture of malathion, 2,4-D and an ACCase inhibitor (clethodim or haloxyfop). The witness will be absent from the application of any products. After the treatments, injury and fluorescence analyzes will be performed at 7, 14 and 28 days after application (DAA). In the latter (28 DAA) the plants were collected to measure height, root dry mass and aerial part of plants. The Colby equation will be used to determine the expected effects of the mixtures, which are compared to the effects observed by the Duncan test at the 5% level of significance. With the results obtained, it is expected to find answers regarding the influence of cytochrome P450 on the antagonism of ACCase and 2,4-D inhibitors in D. insularis plants.
