“ADVANTE JAPERIENSE CITIZEN”:
STORIES, MEMORIES AND IDENTITIES IN LOCAL HISTORY TEACHING
Key words: local history - oral history - history against the grain - memory - identity
Faced with the challenge of historical learning in the classroom and understanding the importance of school, I intend, from this research, to understand the possibilities of teaching history in the construction of new perspectives on the history of Japeri at Colégio Estadual Almirante Tamandaré. To achieve this objective, I will use the methodology of oral history, which will enable the recovery of the memories of students and the community from the creation of the municipality of Japeri in 1991, which allows understanding the meaning of the emancipation process for its protagonists and residents through of dialogue between official documentary, journalistic and oral sources, focusing on the memories in dispute, building the history of the municipality based on the protagonism of subordinate and popular characters, creating a reinterpretation against the grain of history. The relevance of this research lies in understanding the development of methodologies that favor teaching committed to the inclusion of local history in the classroom, in order to value students' daily lives in the constructive process of citizenship
