RESUMO:

This dissertation is the result of the research carried out to answer two questions: what is the origin of all prejudice, discrimination, disrespect, hatred and violence against Umbanda and the other religions of African mothers? What can we do to contribute to the end of all prejudice, discrimination, hatred and violence against Umbanda and other religions of African descent? The answer to the first question is that, for many scholars and researchers, all this prejudice, discrimination, intolerance and other forms of violence against the various religions of African matrices would be the result of what has been called “religious racism”. " Regarding the second question, our proposal is for the wide dissemination of knowledge and information about the religions of African mothers and the application of diversity and anti-racist education for children and adolescents in all stages of basic education.
