SUMMARY:

Acerola (Malpighia emarginata) is recognized as one of the main natural sources of vitamin C. It is valued both for its nutritional and pharmacological properties and for its commercial value. In the sustainable cultivation of acerola, organic fertilization plays a crucial role, using inputs such as manure and composts to promote soil fertility, water retention and stimulate biodiversity. This practice not only reduces dependence on synthetic fertilizers, but also contributes to increasing the plant's resistance to pests and diseases, favoring a more balanced and environmentally responsible production. This study will be developed in the municipality of Russas, located in the Jaguaribe Valley region, state of Ceará, and its general objective is to evaluate the effect of different organic fertilizers on vitamin C levels, productivity, Brix degrees and Ratio in acerola plants subjected to organic management. Three treatments will be evaluated, with Treatment 1 receiving no fertilizer application; Treatment 2 consisting of the application of 15 kg of organic compost per plant; and Treatment 3 will consist of the application of 1.5 kg of anaerobically fermented Bokashi per plant. The productivity of BRS235 acerola plants, vitamin C levels, °Brix and Ratio values of acerola fruits will be evaluated. To disseminate the knowledge obtained during the research, a field day will be held for producers and researchers in the region.
