Physical and physical-chemical evaluation of Ponkan (Citrus reticulata blanco) fruits of SAT orchard in the city of Piraúba-MG
Quality, biofertilizers, chemical properties, agroecology
The 'Ponkan' mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco) produces one of the most popular and appreciated fruits for in natura consumption. In this way, its internal and external characteristics are considered, aiming at the best appearance and quality of the fruits. This great acceptance by the consumer is due to several aspects such as the accentuated coloration, the sweet taste, the easy peeling and the size of the fruit that is more expressive than the others, usually found in the market. Many factors can influence the quality of the fruits, from the soil-climatic conditions to the place of insertion of the fruit in the plant, harvest season, the type of fertilizer, among others. In this context, the objective of this work is to evaluate the physical and physico-chemical characteristics of pokan tangerine fruits harvested at different plant insertion points, as produced in plants sprayed with the Agrobio biofertilizer in different concentrations. Leaf analysis of the plants will be performed in the treatments with and without biofertilizer. To evaluate the physical properties of the fruits, the longitudinal and equatorial diameter, color, peel thickness and fruit yield of fruits harvested from different parts of the plant and cultivated with different Agribio% will be studied. For the physico-chemical characterization, pH, vitamin C content, titratable acidity, soluble solids (oBrix) and ratio of all fruits studied will be determined. With the results obtained, it is hoped to provide subsidies to technicians and farmers to identify the best harvest season and at what point in the plant it is possible to obtain a better quality fruit. In addition, it is expected to verify if the use of the biofertilizer Agrobio favors the production of better quality fruit or not and, if so, which is the best concentration among those used.
