“Technical Assistance and Rural Extension under Law 12,188, dated 01/11/2010, National Policy on Technical Assistance and Rural Extension (PNATER) and National Policy on Agroecology and Organic Production - PNAPO”
FAMILY AGRICULTURE, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND RURAL EXTENSION, PUBLIC POLICIES
Law No. 12,188 of January 11, 2010, which established the National Policy for Technical Assistance and Rural Extension for Family Agriculture and Agrarian Reform - PNATER as the National Program for Technical Assistance and Rural Extension in Family Agriculture and Agrarian Reform - PRONATER , whose principles are based on sustainability, natural resources, preservation of the environment, ecologically based agriculture, food and nutritional security and sovereignty. These statements are contained in the National Agroecology and Organic Production Policy (Pnapo) and in its National Agroecology Plan and Organic Production (Planapo), including in its macro challenges, among others, the expansion of the number of farmers and producers involved in organic and agroecological production, and in the rural research and extension agenda, in order to socialize agroecological knowledge for technicians, farmers and producers.
The aim of this study is to identify the effectiveness of the Technical Assistance and Rural Extension, as a result of Law 12,188, of January 11, 2010, regarding the promotion, longevity and sustainability of ecologically based or transitional organic family farming for the State of Rio de Janeiro .
