RESUMO:

The present case study aims to discuss convergences between two fields of action and practical reflection, linked to the production and reproduction of socioeconomic and cultural life of communities, as well as theoretical analysis and production: agroecology and community based tourism. The practice of the groups, empirical results, evaluations and systematizations of ongoing initiatives demonstrate an important approximation between their principles, complementarities between their practices, as well as the reciprocal potential of strengthening. The aim of the project is to provide a visibility to local strategies of articulation between agroecology and TB, as well as objective results - socioeconomic, cultural, environmental, intergenerational - achieved. In order to foment and even subsidize the construction of strategies that enhance the articulation between them, since, even considering the relevance of the existing initiatives, to consider the need to expand its scale of application. Focus of this study, the Nhandereko Community-Based Tourism Network in Paraty, has been the scene of a unique process of building local development in the field of agriculture and tourism, with a conscious choice for agroecology and TBC.
