SUMMARY:
This project will be developed in the northern region of the state of Mato Grosso and aims to characterize the organic producers in the region that make use of control mechanisms to guarantee organic quality based on social control. The research seeks to characterize the social, institutional, market, guarantee of organic quality and production relations of organic farmers together with the local reality of production in the face of the challenge of regularizing farmers and the potential of their control mechanisms to guarantee the organic quality they make use of social control in the northern region of Mato Grosso. The study will be carried out in ten municipalities in the state of Mato Grosso representing the northern region. The method is based on an exploratory and descriptive research, involving bibliographical and documentary survey and individual semi-structured interviews with producers. The technical product of the research carried out will be the elaboration of an Orientation Booklet with step-by-step instructions for building OCS and SPG, through the analysis and perspective of the local reality of these control mechanisms to guarantee the organic quality of production. It is expected that the work will contribute to the organization of organic farmers and to the strengthening of organic agriculture in the state.
