SUMMARY:

This work aims to study the influence of organic management in areas planted with cashew trees, on the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of early dwarf cashew and giant cashew (Anacardium occidentale L) fruits. The research will be carried out in areas of producers selected by sampling, which have audit certification for the Brazilian (BR), European (CE) and American (NOP/USDA) Schemes. 10 areas of producers will be studied, 5 in an organic system with precocious dwarf cashew trees and 5 with giant cashew trees, with which semi-structured questionnaires will be applied and collections and laboratory analyzes of the peduncle and chestnut will be carried out, for qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the peduncle and chestnut. The fruits (peduncle + chestnut) chosen for laboratory analysis will be harvested during the harvest, from October to December, from plants selected by sampling in the productive areas. Among the expected results, a bibliographic or technical/technological product will be developed, with a significant impact to guide organic production in cashew cultivation and with easy applicability, both in areas at the family level and in large producers, being a reference for innovation in the crops to which it is related refers to organic management.
