RESUMO:

Banana peel is a residue from the agroindustry of banana pulp, a material rich in potassium, cellulose and water, which if improperly discarded leads to slurry formation which can contaminate the soil and consequently water sources. The coffee straw is an abundant residue in the county of Pedralva in the South of Minas, which has a great number of areas cultivated with coffee. This work aims to find the residue proportions of the banana agro-industry residues as well as the coffee straw, for the development of a substrate for the production of coffee seedlings, which is one of the most expensive and most important items in the formation of the coffee crop. In this experiment, it aims to evaluate the vegetative development of coffee seedlings from the elaborated substrates. The seedlings will be produced in commercial bags and conducted in a randomized block design, with four replicates with 10 seedlings per plot, in a rural property in the municipality of Pedralva.
