SUMMARY:

This project will be developed in the municipality of Seropédica, located in the metropolitan region of the state of Rio de Janeiro, and its general objective is to understand how prices are formed for marketing in the direct sales channel and how they relate to the economic viability of production units. organic and in agroecological transition in Seropédica/RJ. An exploratory case study will be carried out from January to December 2023, which will have a qualitative and quantitative approach. Data collection techniques will be semi-structured interviews and participant observation. As research instruments, interview scripts, the Production Notebook (PC) and the Commercialization Notebook (CC) will be used. Individual interviews will be conducted with organic and agroecological producers from the Family Agriculture Fair at UFRRJ (FAF) at Campus Seropédica. The Production Notebook (CP) will be developed and validated with three FAF stallholders, one of which is a food processor that uses part of the site's organic production to make bread and cakes; an organic fruit producer and a producer in an agroecological transition that grows vegetables (leafy, fruit and tuberous). The Economic Feasibility Study (EVE) methodology will be used. The study will be submitted to the Research Ethics Committee. The results of this research will be socialized by the author to the research participants and marketers in an assembly of the Associação da Feira da Agricultura Familiar. The technical product of the research carried out will be the Production Notebook for use by FAF producers. It is hoped that this work will contribute to expanding knowledge and providing tools developed with farmers to increase the processes of price formation for family farming products in organic and agroecological fairs.
