Digital games applied to Physics Teaching: a dynamical evaluation
Ludic Teaching. Active Methodologies. Projectile motion. Gamefication.
There is an increasing need for students to find a friendly, dynamic environment in their respective classrooms
that takes their demands into account. To answer these questions, the ludic methodology based on games
appears as a viable possibility. However, just using the ludic methodology is not enough, since it usually does not
involve the phase of assessing the class's knowledge. Therefore, even if the class eventually shows good
participation in the classroom, when faced with a traditional assessment, students may feel pressured, and
this leads to errors in preparing answers that would not occur in less pressure situations. A continuous assessment
methodology can be added to the classroom dynamics to alleviate such problems. Therefore, this work aims
not only to propose the use of a didactic game in teaching the subject of projectile motion, but also a new way
of teacher can evaluate students without requiring a test or test. The Playfab online platform is an alternative
that allows teachers to manage data obtained automatically while students play games. With the combination of
these two methodologies, playful (through the game) and continuous assessment (through the Playfab
platform), the teacher achieves immersive teaching, equipped with a new way of measuring how information
is structured in the student's mind and how this is absorbing the knowledge presented in the classroom.
