RESUMO:

The research consisted of develop supporting material, exploration tasks and autonomous use of manipulable materials of physical nature that compose the collection of the Mathematics laboratory at the poles of the CEDERJ consortium in the course of Graduation in Mathematics in the semi-presential modality of a Distance Education, by UFF . To this end, we are considering that the use of manipulable materials as a didactic resource can contribute to approach the teaching and learning laboratory of Mathematics in the process of self-learning in the initial formation of a mathematics teacher in a distance course. In the first stage of development of the research was carried out a survey of the existing materials in two poles, Angra dos Reis and Paracambi; a study of the general information of the compulsory subjects of the course and the didactic material of both disciplines directed to the teaching of Mathematics in basic education and that helped in the elaboration of the tasks: Instrumentation of the Geometry Teaching and Instrumentation of the Arithmetic and Algebric Teaching. In the second stage, we have performed presential course, field research, which subsidized data collection and analysis, considering some relevant aspects about the teaching and learning process of a distance course and the importance of the study on manipulable didactic materials in the initial formation of Mathematics teachers. The elaborated script with worksheets for use and exploitation of each existent material in the laboratory, with the aim of use regardless of the teachers or pedagogical mediators presence, it was analyzed from its application to a group of graduates who has participated in the extension course at the Angra dos Reis pole, properly enrolled in the Graduation course in Mathematics. This script and the respective tasks form an educational product available in the two poles mentioned above and were evaluated presenting success in its use and attending to the involved undergraduates in a satisfactory way on the reflection of the use of manipulable materials for the Mathematics teaching.
