RESUMO:

The purpose of this research is to investigate the possibilities of teaching elementary polynomial function in elementary school mediated by the use of a Facebook group as a space for interaction between teacher and students. The research aims to analyze and respond to how content can be approached using a variety of resources, such as problem situations, graphical sketching using graph paper and the GeoGebra smartphone app, and interactions in a closed group on Facebook. From these strategies, verify how 9th grade students learn Polynomial Function of the 1st grade and investigate the potential of using the social network as another space for online and collaborative learning. The current phase of the investigation is literature review and fieldwork planning. The analyzed subjects will be students of the 9th grade of elementary school of a municipal school, located in the north of the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is a research carried out in the researcher's own practice. The data collection (through initial questionnaire, answers to the tasks, record of face and online interactions, and researcher diaries) will be held during the classes of this class that will take place from August to October 2019.
