RESUMO:
This Paper addresses the theme “Acquiring knowledge with the school garden in an interdisciplinary perspective”. This proposal aims to analyze, in an interdisciplinary perspective, the contribution of the school garden as a pedagogical tool for the construction of scientific concepts worked from some descriptors of the 8th grade of Elementary School. The theoretical approach focuses on establishing a link between the current situation of the teaching-learning in the Science, currently offered in Brazil and new prospects for the crystallization of knowledge, as the school garden as pedagogical proposal. A philosophical discussion was carried out about of the cognates terms of 'discipline', namely, multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary - having as reference Fazenda (2008), Morin (1997; 1998; 2000; 2006; 2008), Japiassu (2006), Sommerman (2006) and Santos (2008) and others. The relevance of this theme is due to the necessity of overcoming the current disciplinary system that works the knowledge of fragmented way preventing the globalized current understanding of our students in relation to the reality in which are inserted, for them to position themselves critically, politically and transformative, as protagonists of their history. The research will be qualitative and will consist of case study as observation, involving students from the 8th grade and teachers from different disciplines and will be developed in a public school of Volta Redonda - RJ. The data were collected through questionnaires, the observing of participants and audio-video recording for further discussion, analysis and any conclusions for its effective and dynamic implementation. The analyzes of data obtained show that the horta has fulfilled its function as a pedagogical instrument, to the extent that served so that together, students and teachers of different disciplines, had acquired the knowledge in an interdisciplinary approach. As educational product was produced a video that shows parts of the activities carried out by the school garden. The intention is that this material will serve as an inspiration and basis for that other education professionals organize the school garden as a pedagogical instrument by an interdisciplinary bias.
