RESUMO:

This study begins with the problem of teenage pregnancy, in a context in which the high pregnancy rate of Basic Education students occurs for many years, with a high incidence of low income youth. Even having access to information about contraceptive methods more widely than in past decades. Thus the teen are becoming pregnant at one stage of life when they are unprepared to assume the responsibilities of being a mother with all the consequences of motherhood. And in the case of young people, the implications of paternity. The situation is aggravated when they are driven by their subsistence needs to abandon school and seek work without proper professional qualification. Despite much information on human reproduction and pregnancy, they do not generate meaningful formation for adolescents to sensitize them and make them aware of the dangers of initiating an active sex life in an early age. For the accomplishment of this work an exploratory and documentary research will be done next to the Municipal Public Organs of Seropédica, to obtain data related to pregnancy in adolescence. Likewise, an analysis will be made of the textbooks provided by the National Textbook Program, and of booklets and leaflets prepared by preventive campaigns. And finally, several activities will be developed, which will be part of a dynamic, to be developed in the classroom, with the students of the 8th year of Elementary School. This work is based on the perspective of Paulo Freire who understands school education as: dialogued, critical-reflexive and conscientious problematizing; in Ausubel's meaningful education and in the Focus on Socio-Scientific Issues - QSC. The focus on QSC in science teaching comes from the controversies about social and scientific issues, has cross-cutting characteristics and allows connections of the various areas of scientific knowledge with cultural, ethical and even religious values. These approaches can assist students in making responsible decisions in their lives. In this sense, this work aims to propose pedagogical activities that transform information into formation and that promotes awareness raising, understanding, empathy and even prevention of pregnancy in adolescence. The result of this research will have as product a didactic-methodological proposal, with questions related to the pregnancy in the adolescence, that will be worked pedagogically in a dynamic with the students of the 8th year of Elementary School. More than learning concepts and theories about the physiology of human reproduction, sexually transmitted diseases and contraceptive methods, the objective of this material is to assist the teacher in the development of educational dynamics that help in the conscious formation of students, so that can be able to make decisions in their lives in a responsible and ethical way in the actions related to sexuality and pregnancy.
