Social inequality in Brazil by a bias of Critical Mathematics Education in the classroom: analyzing social programs of income transfer

This research approach a pedagogical proposal for mathematics classes in high school that dialogue with social inequality in Brazil and the programs social programs of income transfer from the perspective of Critical Mathematics Education (EMC). After a bibliographic and documentary research, it seeks to develop and suggest activities, through a Didactic Sequence, that assist teachers with the teaching of Functions and Statistics in a contextualized way, with social inequality in Brazil as its theme. The goal is to ensure meaningful, critical and reflective learning for students. This research is justified from the need to think possibilities for the teaching of mathematics that would contribute to citizen formation in a critical and responsible way in the construction of a more just, democratic and developed society. Thus, the following question arises: what is the relevance of Critical Mathematics Education in Basic Education, taking into account its forms of application from the perspective of the social inequality?
