SUMMARY:

This study aims to analyze the contribution of a didactic-pedagogical material addressing the
theme anabolic steroids and their impact on body image in youths organized in the form of
a Fanzine to help high school teachers in the elaboration and realization of
pedagogical practices from the perspective of Scientific Literacy as proposed by Chassot
(2007; 2018). To achieve this research objective, the steps followed are to problematize the
approach to the body theme and its relationship with the use of anabolic steroids with reference to
the available literature on Science Education (CHASSOT, 2007; 2018;
LORENZETTI; DELIZOICOVI, 2001) and textbooks of Biology and Natural Sciences
and its Technologies; to analyze a didactic-pedagogical material in the form of a Fanzine about
beauty, health and anabolic steroids. This is a qualitative and qualitative research.
