NARRATIVES AS A RESOURCE FOR TEACHING CHEMISTRY IN A CTS APPROACHEnvironmental Education; Languages; Fishermen's narratives; Science EducationIn this work, we defend a proposal that deals with the relationship between the STS approach and the role of experience and the knowledge of experience present in the narratives with the objective of understanding the construction of knowledge in scientific education in chemistry from narratives of a fishing community in the Municipality of Magé/RJ and high school students in the city of Rio de Janeiro/RJ. The speeches refer to the environmental problems faced by this community and the relationship between scientific-technological development and society. The aim of this study is: to identify how narratives can constitute a resource for a scientific education that dialogues with other knowledge; to prepare didactic material in the form of a book with the reports of the fishermen and presentation/discussion of relevant concepts for a scientific education, with emphasis on the knowledge of chemistry in a CTSA approach. The present research is conducted within a qualitative approach, emphasizing the obtaining of investigative/descriptive data through the direct contact of the professor/researcher with the research subjects. This work is being developed with 20 fishermen from the municipality of Magé/RJ and 25 students from the 1st grade of high school at a State School in Rio de Janeiro.
