Beyond the reactor: challenges in the radioactive city - teaching Nuclear Physics through games
Nuclear Physics. Active Methodologies. Ludic Teaching. Didatic Games.
This research aims to address the question of how to promote meaningful and effective teaching of Modern and Contemporary Physics, in particular Nuclear Physics, through an active methodology centered on games. The theme was chosen based on its relevance, especially in terms of social implications, as established in the CTS approach. To develop the project, a bibliographical research was first carried out on the themes of the different versions of the CTS proposal, on the issue of didactic transposition of more advanced scientific knowledge and on the use of active methodologies centered on games. Next, we carried out qualitative research focused on building an in-depth understanding of the structure of the game, as an educational object. The result of this investigation was the proposal of a collaborative board game, exploring the theme of radioactivity and nuclear contamination, to be offered to teachers as an opportunity for a Ludic Teaching activity
