A STUDY ON TEACHING-PEDAGOGICAL RESOURCES IN HEALTH EDUCATION: POSSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES IN ADDRESSING DISEASES ASSOCIATED WITH THE Aedes aegypti

Health Education (HE) is a political-pedagogical process aimed at promoting the teaching and learning of health-related content within the educational system. This allows for critical reflections on various social, economic, and environmental factors, including food security, chronic diseases, and endemic diseases such as the spread of arboviruses by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. To understand how this theme is approached in the school environment, studies on curriculum theories, socio-historical-cultural contexts that influenced the development of official curriculum documents, and HE practices are necessary, along with an analysis of didactic-pedagogical resources used in this process. In this context, the present research aims to investigate academic productions from 2019 to 2023 related to didactic-pedagogical resources used in teaching and learning about diseases and combating the Aedes aegypti mosquito in the later years of Elementary Education. Based on these studies, the pedagogical objective is to develop an educational product - a didactic guide - to be used in Science education. The work will be carried out in 4 stages: 1) theoretical and historical foundation stage on Health Education, Curriculum Theories, and Didactic-Pedagogical Resources (already completed); 2) systematic review stage to identify didactic-pedagogical resources focused on combating the Aedes aegypti mosquito and its teaching in the later years of Elementary Education (already completed); 3) production stage of the didactic guide based on the resources selected in the systematic review (in progress); 4) stage of conducting interviews with teachers from the second segment of elementary education to validate the application of the didactic guide. The systematic review was conducted in databases such as Google Scholar, CAPES Journals, and in the proceedings of ENPEC XII, XIII, and XIV (National Meeting of Research in Science Education), using descriptors: Health Education, Aedes aegypti, and Didactic Resource with the boolean operator "AND". Subsequently, the didactic guide will be developed and applied by Science teachers, followed by evaluating its application through interviews aimed at investigating the limits and contributions of the didactic guide. It is expected that this work will contribute to improving Science education and Health Education practices, making it accessible to teachers as an important production of resources related to diseases associated with the Aedes aegypti
