SUMMARY:

This research focuses on the training of teachers who teach mathematics in the transition from the initial to the final years in relation to the content of fractions. Our general objective is to analyze pedagogical processes, which are actions carried out in the classroom, applied strategically through methods aimed at educational practice, developed by teachers in the 5th and 6th years of elementary school in relation to the development of skills with numbers fractional expressions manifested in an Extension Course built on this topic. To this end, this dissertation is organized in a multipaper format, with the first article being a systematic review of the literature focused on this area and the second article being emerging knowledge from participants in an extension course on the topic, which will be the educational product of this research.
