SUMMARY:

This research aims to develop a pedagogical proposal using the synergy between science and art, through botanic illustration, for the development of artistic education and scientific education, more specifically in the field of botany, and to provide an affective and meaningful learning. To achieve this goal, it was necessary to carry out a didactic transposition of the syllabus contents on scientific and botanical illustration for a class of the 7th grade of elementary school in a private school located in the neighborhood of Campo Grande, Rio de Janeiro, aiming at carrying out an interdisciplinary activity between the disciplines of arts and sciences at Sítio Roberto Burle Marx. The final stage of this work will be the production of a book by the students themselves, which will contain the illustrations resulting from this activity, as well as pedagogical proposals to encourage and guide teachers to develop this synergy in the classroom.
