Learning Quadrilaterals in Smartphone Activities
Geometry; Quadrilaterals; Mobile devices; Elementary School.
This professional master's research seeks to contribute to improvements in school geometry and theorize about singularities of screen touches in the learning of concepts and properties about quadrilaterals. The fieldwork, in its final phase, was divided into six meetings and is being implemented in a private school in the city of Seropédica with students from the sixth year of Elementary School, having as one of the axes the use of the GeoGebra application on mobile devices with touch. on screen, in particular, smartphones and tablets. This is a design research and the pedagogical intervention is being carried out through tasks with different purposes (identification, conceptualization and classification of quadrilaterals) and they are being revised based on the analysis of the weekly implementations made. Data are being collected through written records, screen captures and files constructed by the students, and the researcher's field diary. We will propose a didactic sequence involving activities and answers, some adapted for use on devices with screen touches.
