SUMMARY:

The student who forms part of Youth and Adult Education is one who, for various reasons, has had his or her right to education denied and has suffered from sociocultural exclusion. This student, outside of school, continued his life, established social relationships, developed skills and occupied the job market for his survival, thus acquiring many experiences in these aspects. However, when he returns to the classroom, his experiences are often silenced. In this sense, this work proposes to examine how the theoretical foundations of Ethnomathematics can establish connections with School Mathematics in Youth and Adult Education, with the purpose of enriching and improving the process of teaching and learning Mathematics, making it more meaningful. in this modality. It also proposes, as an educational product, the development and application of an extension/continuing training course for mathematics teachers who work or wish to work in the EJA modality and mathematics teachers in training. It also encourages reflections and approaches in Mathematics classes that highlight and value the prior knowledge of EJA students, so that, at the end of this training, there are suggestions for approaches in the classroom that are based on valuing the knowledge of student-workers of Youth and Adult Education. Data from these applications were analyzed and discussed in this research.
