SUMMARY:

This research brings proposals that reveal Africanities present in scientific and mathematical thinking absent from textbooks and rarely found in teachers' plans. It seeks to open paths that promote the strengthening of ethnoscience from the popular knowledge of ethnomathematics in an African worldview, contributing to the teaching of science and mathematics in the classroom, besides cooperating in the process of valorization and cultural rescue of black and white students. not black people from Brazil. Thus, this work aims to produce a didactic material through a pedagogical support notebook and a pedagogical game for 9th grade classes based on the conception of ethnoscience and ethnomathematics in a perspective of African and Afro-Brazilian culture as a way valuation and implementation of the guidelines issued by Law 10.639 / 03, whose proposal is to establish the obligation of teaching Afro-Brazilian History and Culture in school curricula, thereby changing the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education (Law 9394/96 ). For the process of this research we opted for a qualitative approach with action research as a technical procedure. After the phase of framing the research to its methodology, we set out for an exhaustive search and selection of material that could solidly and concisely subsidize the discussions presented here. The bibliographic survey sought to analyze historical, social and cultural factors that could contribute to the process of teaching and learning in Science and Mathematics through tools that could bring to the classroom meanings in the student's social and cultural context. The idea was to divide the work into two stages, where in the first one was made a planning based on ethnomathematics and in the second, which is in its application phase, introduce the proposed product accompanied by the observation techniques, analysis, results. and discussions. As a way to realize this epistemic mosaic giving light to the advent of this work, we started our proposal from an ethnomathematic panorama.
