SUMMARY:

Currently, it has become increasingly evident an increasing expansion of non-formal spaces for teaching and learning practices, especially museums and science centers. These places are becoming increasingly relevant about Science Education, dealing with scientific themes with a contextualized approach and contributing to the process of scientific literacy (MARANDINO, 2009). However, due to the particularities presented, research shows that Chemistry is the area of knowledge with less representation in science museums (ALMEIDA, ROCHA, OLIVEIRA, 2015; PINTO, 2007). Considering this scenario of little representation of chemistry in non-formal spaces, especially in museums, we identified in the Brazilian Soil Museum a space with great potential for building chemical knowledge. The Soil Museum presents in its project possibilities to develop, in an interdisciplinary way, conceptual constructions in the field of Chemistry, since the soil is characterized by its physical and chemical properties. such approaches include knowledge that can range from Basic Education to Higher Education. In this perspective, the present work aims to reflect on the teaching practice in the sense of using contextualization strategies that enable science teaching (Chemistry) with meaning and interdisciplinarity using Non-Formal Education Spaces (ENFE) and presents the Brazilian Soil Museum as a possibility for teaching chemistry and teacher training. This is a research with a qualitative approach and which is divided into the following stages: Evaluates and contextualizes the possibility of using non-formal education spaces (ENFE) as a possibility for teaching chemistry; evaluates the presence of content on the use of ENFE in the chemistry teacher training courses, as well as the knowledge of teachers working in basic education; presents and discusses the relationship of the Brazilian Soil Museum as an example for the insertion of chemistry in these spaces, and as a possibility of teaching for basic education and for degree courses in chemistry and finally; Prepares a proposal for a program unit to develop ENFE for the discipline of Didactics and Teaching Practice in Chemistry and an educational product characterized as an “Interdisciplinary Didactic Guide” that addresses the concept of Non Formal Education Spaces (ENFE, guidance for teachers on how to use an ENFE can make a relevant contribution to teaching practice and the indication of topics related to chemistry to be worked on at the Brazilian Soil Museum and the possibilities of interdisciplinarity. As a training space, the Brazilian Soil Museum seems to be potent so that undergraduate students in chemistry get to know other places of professional performance, whether as a mediator / tutor, but especially in their pedagogical practice that dialogue with another knowledge that is not present in your undergraduate course. Thus, it is concluded that ENFE can contribute significantly to the initial and continuing training of chemistry teachers with didactic and formative potential. This being a motivating and amplifying factor in the teaching of chemistry.
