SUMMARY:

The present work aims to promote a discussion about the
power relations in society, which are also extended to the relations of
gender, highlighting the access to education, academic and corporal formation of the
women in the 20th century, mainly, encompassing Mathematics teachers.
Through bibliographical research, the subjects treated have their beginnings in the 20th century.
XIX, which occurred the first educational law in Brazil, passing through the change of
Empire for the Republic and legislative and social changes in the country, reaching the
twentieth century with the configurations of society greatly modified. will be
We also analyzed the body posture and struggles of women in the movements
feminists that spanned the last century. There is also an analysis of the period
transition in Normal Schools and girls' education, highlighting the
curriculum differences between girls' and boys' schools. Finally, it will be done
an analysis between the discussions of power, teaching and women in mathematics in the
twentieth century through historical-social perspectives.
