Challenges in the training of working students in the Licentiate Degree in Geography at the Multidisciplinary Institute of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro

The present work seeks to discuss, analyze and understand what are the main difficulties encountered during the training process by working students of the Full Degree in Geography course at the Multidisciplinary Institute / N.I. from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro. As a graduate student at this same federal educational institution, I took a training path that can be understood as that of a working student, in which I had to work throughout my training process so that I could remain a student. From this, this research begins to take shape and the following question arises in my head: “in terms of education, work and the training process, what are the main challenges encountered by working students of the full degree course in Geography to be able to complete the graduation?". Due to this fact and the need to understand the background of these students and the training process; conceptualize education and work; show the different types of activities carried out by these students and characterize them; show the importance of education as an emancipatory and autonomous path for their lives; list the difficulties; bring the different profiles of these working students and the difficulties to stay in university. In this way, the search for the answer to this question is going to be answered by the points presented, in addition, the understanding of a working student comes against new students from generally less well-off classes and who increasingly arrive at the university and are faced with this reality .
