SUMMARY:

This research addresses the theme of agroecology, highlighting the importance of the debate in the socio-environmental crisis we are experiencing today. We propose to look at the high school geography textbook to seek to understand the construction of disputed discourses in our society and analyze the presences and absences of the theme of healthy food produced in a socially and environmentally responsible way. We know that the themes and debates that gain space in school also end up being inserted in society. In this way, we seek to reflect, based on the gaps and evidence found in textbooks, regarding the agroecological emergency and the production of healthy and sustainable food. In this direction, the general objective is: to contribute to reflection on the importance of Agroecology at school, especially from the urban school routine and in the context of teaching geography. The methodology that guides us is qualitative in nature and aligns with research-teaching proposals, where teaching knowledge is linked to other knowledge with a view to articulating theory and practice in the classroom.
