SUMMARY:

The appreciation of the epistemologies of existences, through an art made by a black transvestite, and intrinsically linked to the daily life of the margins, is the soil in which this work is planted. Linn da Quebrada is the invention of Lina Pereira do Santos for transformation and liberation from the stigmas that plague a black and cisheterodiscordant body in Brazil. The trajectory of a multi-artist equipped with an organic intellectuality and latent inventiveness makes the analysis covered in this research a possibility of recognizing how the margin - the broken one or the one that cries out - is a space of radical opening (hooks, 2019). Linn da Quebrada, with a series of performances, such as the documentary (Bixa Travesty – 2018) the two albums released, Pajubá and Trava-Línguas, in 2017 and 2021 respectively, in addition to dozens of interviews, participation in films and series, he did not stop digging even deeper into the fissure of the colonial scar left in Brazilian territory. From the interpretation of this very recent and profound biography, it is noted that the division established between life and work is not definitive for those who experience the precariousness of existence. Inventing what she wanted to feel and live, Linn set herself in motion, used her body to transform the reality that was inserted and made herself in the fabrics of everyday life in a plural and comprehensive existence, where she encompassed other bodies through music. This phenomenon does not escape the scope of geographic analysis, with a rich potential for investigation based on embodied geographies, geographies embodied by action, which record in the body itself and in the social fabric the accumulated knowledge of the dynamics of time and space. The markings of this profound existence that were analyzed in dialogue with her work concern the dynamics of this body in the city; also of affective neglect and sexual vulnerability, which is at the mercy; of the work relationship, and fight for the daily love practice. Linn da Quebrada uses language as a spell, turns her own body into a verb, in order to become action and be able to imagine possible futures in which transvestigenere existences reach spaces beyond those we can imagine in the present time.
