THE SCHOOL GARDEN AS A TOOL FOR ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

Environmental Education is currently an important tool for understanding the conservation of natural resources and the nature around us. Therefore, spreading this discussion and addressing this topic in schools is essential so that individuals can have contact with Environmental Education from the earliest years of their education. This study aims to investigate the impacts caused by the Environmental Education in Focus Project at the Jaceruba Municipal School and its implications outside the school, in the Jaceruba settlement. The methodology used in the research for its development is based on the theoretical framework of environmental education research from a critical perspective, covering good agricultural production practices. The project managed to unite different subjects and spaces, aiming to promote the development of Environmental Education actions in a critical way. Throughout the research, inclusive educational actions were developed from the Jaceruba Municipal School to the entire Jaceruba settlement.
