FOR A GEOGRAPHY OF THE R-EXISTENCES OF THE PERIPHERAL SUBJECT IN NOVA IGUAÇU

Black Geographies; Quilombos; Resistances

This dissertation aims to contribute to Black Geographies, expanding the perspective of the black territorial debate and bodygraphy in urban space. Learning from the different epistemologies, understanding the existing quilombola territorial dynamics and retracing the history of Nova Iguaçu through existing bibliographical references and the multiple strategies of resistance and other different forms of knowledge production. We will deepen the research in the dialogue of knowledges with Quilombo Enraizados, in Baixada Fluminense, in Morro Agudo - Nova Iguaçu/Rio de Janeiro. We intend to highlight the stories constructed through orality, memories, body and ancestry and the multiple forms of r-existence and struggles for the right to the city. Our main method will be participatory and militant research, focusing on interviews, dialogues and participation in popular events of Quilombo Enraizados.
