THE SUBVERSION OF THE MONUMENT IN THE PRODUCTION OF LANDSCAPE IN THE SUBURBS OF LEOPOLDINA-RJ

This research aims to investigate the relationship between a monument, belonging to the church of São Cosme e Damião, São Jorge and Escrava Anastácia, located in the Penha neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, a suburban area of the city of Rio de Janeiro, in the Leopoldina suburb, and which initially contained the image of the slave Anastácia, and to discuss its relationship within the socio-spatial dynamics, highlighting the actors or groups that establish their ideas and dynamize a territorial narrative based on the monument, producing consensus and structuring a web of relationships established through symbolic power.
