Evaluation of safety and mobility indicators: A case study for UFRRJ – Seropédica Campus
Geoprocessing, GPS, cartographic communication, safety, mobility, vulnerability
The new technologies of remote sensing and GIS have favored significant improvements, because of this evolution, the costs of preparation and distribution of cartographic representations, especially in electronic means and sites have been reduced, favoring their free availability. This has provided a significant increase in the number of users seeking help from digital media rather than printed maps. The construction of different types of spatial representations can also be used to facilitate the dissemination of information from different arrays, such as information related to the public safety of certain localities. For this purpose, it intends to carry out an evaluation of the vulnerability conditions related to safety and mobility in the Seropédica Campus of the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro, aiming at assisting in decision making that make it possible to generate proposals for improvements in the institutional scope.
