RESUMO:

The present research sought to highlight the reflexes of the tourism metropolitan process that corroborated the production of leisure spaces in the municipality of Mangaratiba, located in the Costa Verde Tourist Region, on the south coast of Rio de Janeiro. When looking at the analysis of space, it was possible to observe forms of elitist leisure, triggered by condominiums and resorts along the coastal strip. In this sense, he devoted himself to studying the phenomenon of the resortification of the Mangaratiba space, starting from the Portobello Resort & Safari project, identifying in the empirical object structures that evidence this "tourist activity" engendered by the postmodern condition, in which, both in the distance from the spatial plane, in the face of the logic of daily flight, and in the imaginary plane before the construction of simulacres.
