ABSTRACT

The present research has as objective the analysis of the corporeal experiences of the students for the development of the concept of space space in the teaching of geography. In this sense, it seeks to understand space through the senses, adopting as a methodological field, the action and interaction of teachers in the teaching of Geography, through the execution of activities as a methodology of action, in order to seek to capture the observations and multiple spatial sensations of the student of the 6th year of a private school, in the municipality of Duque de Caxias, belonging to the state of Rio de Janeiro. Before the execution of the activities, we carry out reads of reflexive thematic texts, to support the discussion of the formation of the concepts I will use of Vygotsky's studies, in the debate on corporeity the author Elias Lima through the analysis of the studies of Merleau-Ponty and the author Christian Dennys Monteiro de Oliveira, in discussing the concept of space David Harvey, Henri Lefebvre and Doreen Massey, in the discourse on geographical praxis the studies of Ruy Moreira, to substantiate what we understand of the different space practices, I will use the studies of Castrogionanni , the studies of David Tripp regarding the study on action research and finally, and, not least, the studies of Ginzburg with regard to studies focused on what he calls Focus Group. Then, we will begin the activities of in order to identify the relation that the student has with the space in which he lives and what he understands by body and space. In this proposal, we think it is good not to define contents, respecting the autonomy and perspective of students and teachers. The methodology now put in allows us an escape from the traditional prior script and enabled us to adopt the triggering question: what are the meanings of space? And the question-axis: is it possible, through reading the different space practices, to use them in the teaching-learning process of the concept of space, through the body and its senses, making it possible to identify the senses present in space? The present work intends to contribute in a significant way to the learning of the contents taught in the 6th year of elementary education II, since it will put it in contact with the whole world, contributing for its learning to be significant, seen from the senses of the body and by its in the search for a more critical and politically situated learning in the world.
