SUMMARY:

The research aims to present the problems involved with the arrival of the mode of production based on flexible accumulation and its effects on the labor market in peripheral regions, specifically the Baixada Fluminense. The question to be answered would be to what extent do the data from baixada Fluminense reflect the structural crisis of work in capitalism? The hypothesis is that flexible accumulation has changed the dynamics of capitalism to the point that production is creating an unsustainable autonomy that increasingly devalues and intensifies the exploitation of the worker. Technology occupies a large part of production today, while the worker who remains the largest source of added value finds fewer opportunities for formal work due to the diversification of profit generation that capitalism finds. The methodology of this research will be based on a theoretical and quantitative analysis. To understand the labor crisis, a literature review is needed that addresses visions of how capitalism makes a transition in its mode of production that will alter the entire productive dynamics of countries that incorporate capitalism as a system.
