SUMMARY:

Nowadays, innovation, entrepreneurship, technological development and knowledge
are the driving forces for productivity growth, the competitiveness of sectors,
companies and countries. From this scenario, the study aims to analyze the
importance of carrying out the transfer of knowledge between universities and
companies as a means of promoting socioeconomic development. The role of
agents, such as research centers, is analyzed; curriculum entrepreneurship; junior
companies; external stages; business incubators; public and private partnerships;
technology parks; patents and scientific publications involved in this process must
play a role in order to effect the transfer of knowledge. The methodological procedure
used is a descriptive, documentary and bibliographic research. From the analysis, it
is clear that there is relevant data on the history of universities, their trajectory and
their missions, as well as their performance and importance as an agent in
socioeconomic development in partnership with companies and the government.
From the analyses, it is inferred that it is necessary to establish, raise awareness and
establish the role that each institution of the national innovation and entrepreneurship
system should play in this interaction of the Triple Helix model involving the
University, Government and Industry, to that there is a more effective and receptive
participation and participation of universities with the transfer of knowledge to society.
