SUMMARY:

This study aims to analyze the historical impact of the labor market in Rio de Janeiro on the current economic result of the state of Rio de Janeiro. The concentration of formal opportunities in the capital and the impact of a productive deconcentration in the formal labor market in the city of Rio de Janeiro and possible spillovers to the rest of Brazil. For this purpose, the inter-regional input-output matrix Rio de Janeiro x the rest of Brazil will be used. The database will contain information provided by RAIS and IBGE. Thus, given the concern of inequality installed in the State of Rio de Janeiro, it will be studied.
