The challenges faced by the deaf community during their educational process are a current
problem, limiting Brazilian and Portuguese students, workers, and researchers in their pursuit of better professional qualifications and new opportunities.
Seeking to improve this situation, this work presents the Ludwig platform, designed to
assist deaf citizens in their inclusion in scientific environments. The Ludwig platform was
designed for the creation, management, and dissemination of video terms in LGP and LIBRAS
regarding scientific terms and presents a tool for simplifying complex
texts through Generative Artificial Intelligence. Furthermore, the metatexts resulting from the simplifications will be linked to the corresponding video terms already existing on the platform, making Ludwig a platform focused on accessibility and inclusion for the deaf population, which still lacks fair opportunities in the scientific field.
This article not only introduces the platform but also addresses the challenges faced by the Portuguese-speaking deaf community, especially regarding access to inclusive education, the main reason why the use of LGP and LIBRAS is so significant on the Ludwig platform.
