SUMMARY:

This dissertation investigates the still underexplored intersection between Digital Humanities, Open Science, and Accessibility for people with low vision on open government platforms in Brazil. The study focuses on the barriers faced by individuals with visual impairments in accessing government information and services and uses a qualitative approach. The research combines a literature review, document analysis, and a case study. The bibliographic analysis addresses digital inclusion, the FAIR principles, and the role of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence in promoting accessibility. The document analysis examines public policies and legislation on digital inclusion in Brazil, identifying gaps in current solutions. The dissertation proposes innovative solutions to improve accessibility and citizen participation for people with low vision on open government platforms, highlighting the importance of emerging technologies and the use of open data.
