SUMMARY:

The dropout of students in Higher Education is an extremely complex phenomenon, whose study for the development of prevention and mitigation strategies may involve different areas of knowledge, such as: Applied Social Sciences, Human Sciences and Exact Sciences (ABALCO et al. 2019) . Due to its multidisciplinary nature, the introduction of quantitative analytical models becomes increasingly important; in particular, the use of Data Analytics methodologies (PROVOST; FAWCETT, 2013). In these, the objective is both to build knowledge from data and quantitative evidence, as well as to propose analytical solutions that contribute to reducing dropout. This research, inserted in the field of Digital Humanities, aims to seek Data Analytics approaches to support higher education policies specifically aimed at controlling and combating school dropout. To this end, it is intended to conduct a research on two fronts: (a) systematic literature review - where, systematically, search criteria are used to collect, identify and select relevant scientific papers from the relevant literature. ; and (b) methodological analysis of selected works from the literature under the epistemological aegis of Design Science Research.
