SUMMARY:

With the advent of the covid-19 pandemic, originating from the SARS-CoV-2 virus, society remained alert: there was a threat to humanity from an unknown virus. Since then, a "race against time" in search of treatments for sick patients, the use of masks and strict protective measures, isolation of those who carried the virus, the dreaded quarantine for unaffected individuals, and the incessant search for a vaccine that would bring world hope. Until then, about 3.4 million deaths were counted in the world due to the coronavirus. In Brazil, the numbers were and remain alarming, and the proportion of this evil permeates health, mainly affecting the economy, which was already expected. However, the state's inefficiency due to the delay in taking decisions brought even more uncertainty to the country, especially in the labor area. Therefore, it is important to understand the labor measures implemented during the aforementioned pandemic and the impacts on Brazilian Labor Law, through court decisions in the first instance of the Regional Labor Courts in the country. Thus, this research aims to apply computational methods of Natural Language Processing to analyze labor legal texts, grouping digital texts in corpus and later analyzing the data obtained. Furthermore, in addition to understanding how such a calamity has affected Brazilians, it intends to understand how the digital adoption at work, in times of crisis, accelerated the processes of digital transformation at work. The data obtained indicate that the pandemic moved the Labor Courts to decide on issues involving economic crisis and work, and the health area, in addition to closing processes in the execution phase. Therefore, the research proposes to address the covid-19 pandemic and its impacts on Labor Law from the perspective of Digital Humanities.
