SUMMARY:

In Brazil, thousands of students become teenagers with learning problems that are only noticed, most of the time, later. The early detection of these problems in the first grades of elementary school 1 can be measured and evaluated so that, as soon as possible, they can be monitored, remedied and/or corrected. In this way, it is possible to minimize or extinguish the losses and lead to a construction of knowledge that would not previously be contemplated. This work discusses the use of technologies in computer science as tool to aid early a support strategy to help detect one of these disorders/difficulties in elementary school students: DISCALCULIA, discusses the search for data to serve as a parameter for research and the elaboration of a public database witch the results obtained can be found and used by other researchers. This proposal considers some principles of psychopedagogy and the use of computer science techniques to generate hypotheses to be later observed by qualified professionals in the areas of Psychology, Psychopedagogy, Neurology and other related areas.
