Educational and training methodologies to improve the quality of water resources
Water, Teaching Chemistry, Systemic thinking, Autonomy.
Water is a substance that invites us to study the Natural Sciences and their Technologies, the rivers of each region and their physical, chemical and microbiological characteristics, open up a range of opportunities to achieve the guiding methodologies of the National Water and Sanitation Agency (Agência Nacional de Águas e Saneamento - ANA), United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN-Brazil 2030, and the foundations established for the New Brazilian High School. The entire framework of this research is focused on the effect of the C6X9F562 course on the participants, this course was registered at the National Library of Records of Brazil (BNRB) as a free continuous qualification course for teachers of Natural Sciences and Their Technologies, and the research carried out was approved by the Research Ethics Committee through opinion 5.675.655. The research approach is qualitative, of an applied nature, with exploratory characteristics, where the adopted procedures were conducted by action research due to its participative character, democratic impulse, and contribution to social change. The theoretical basis of this work is based on official documents around the environment, where the classification of river water in a region is used as a reorientation of teaching, mainly around chemistry, being idealized in an approach of systemic thinking for teaching Natural Sciences and convergent with Paulo de Freire's Pedagogy of Autonomy. The research carried out in this master's thesis demonstrates that the methodological tool developed was able to impact the researched teachers. The reorientation of chemistry teaching through the purpose of improving the quality of water in rivers sharpens scientific research, enabling a systemic vision to face current challenges and favoring the development of teachers' and students' autonomy.
