SUMMARY:

Chemistry teaching is often unattractive for students due to the difficulty of relating theory to practice. In this sense, teachers need to use pedagogical strategies that allow their classes to be contextualized with the students' daily lives. The present work sought in the thematic medicinal plants to propose the assembly of a Sensory Mobile Circuit using methodological tools that can contribute to improve the understanding of the theoretical contents on acid-base indicators and organic functions for high school students. The use of alternative methodologies in the classroom aroused the students' interest and participation in the proposed activities, building knowledge through meaningful learning.
