SUMMARY:

This research aims to propose Orienteering Sport for students in the final years of elementary school in the context of Adventure Body Practices. The methodological approach adopted was action research, of a qualitative nature, involving 40 students from a 9th grade class at CIEP 075 Jardim Cabuçu, in Nova Iguaçu - RJ. Data were collected through field diaries, photographic records and questionnaires applied before and after the pedagogical intervention, allowing the analysis of students' perceptions, feelings and engagement in relation to Orienteering Sport. The study preliminarily showed that the practice contributes to the integral development of students, promoting cognitive, motor and socio-emotional skills, such as decision-making, spatial reasoning and teamwork. However, challenges for its implementation were also identified, such as the lack of specific teacher training, the scarcity of material resources and the absence of detailed curricular guidelines. The results, once finalized, will support the construction of an Educational Resource in the form of an E-book containing a structured and progressive didactic-pedagogical sequence with a series of classes that guide the theoretical and practical development of Orienteering Sport.
