SUMMARY:

It analyzes academic productions and pedagogical practices in Physical Education with dance content, focusing on ethnic-racial relations. There are two methodologies: bibliographic research and existential action research. Articles, dissertations and works in congresses were mobilized for the bibliographic study and photographic images, children's drawings, conversation circles and field diary with the children to carry out the action research. The investigation focused on a school in the city of Rio de Janeiro with a 5th grade class, including 24 children. The results are still in production and analysis. However, these data, to be produced and critically examined in dialogue with the academic literature, intend to be systematized and generate, as a result, a didactic-pedagogical material that contributes to school physical education teachers by pointing out possibilities of materializing the theme of ethnic-racial relations through middle of the dance content.
